1 week + to approve a new application!!

I'm an existing Cell C customer and app**** for a new contract on 19/01/23 via the Call Centre. The agent informed me that the new contract (Packard Bell laptop) has been approved and that it would take approx 5 - 10 working days for delivery. Yesterday I received a sms stating that I had a missed call from 084 145. I had my phone in my hand and it did not ring once. I phoned the number this morning to follow-up on delivery. After having been transferred to no less than 6 different departments, I was informed that my application has still not been approved and that they are still verifying my details. THIS IS ALMOST A WEEK LATER!!!!! I've been a customer with Cell C for years now already and none of my details have changed. Why does it take them a week to verify existing details???? Still no-one could tell me what details still need to be verified or if the contract has even been approved yet.
