0860 Numbers not supported by Cell C. Be very aware of the implication

Be Very Aware. Cell C does not support any 0860 numbers on contract. That means you cannot phone your Bank, Medical Aid, Insurance, ambulance service. instead you get a message saying "The number you have dialed is incorrect". This could leave you stranded as it did me. I was not told when renewing my contract that this was in the fine print. There is no option to let them bill for the call either. No! you have to buy additional airtime. That's all you need in an emergency.

And that's not all. When I called the help line, the consultants (3 of them) read from a script, all sounds lovely, but they cant give you any answers that deviate from the script. Very very frustrating

Cell C, this is a deal breaker. Not only will I tell Hello Peter, I will let everyone know that will listen to me. And note; luckily for me I managed to borrow a phone from someone on a Telkom contract, yes they pay their share-call rate but at least they can still call.
