Staggering Incompetence

I've dealt with CCD in the past when FNB sent me new bank cards, so I already had very low expectations. But they went over and above this time to disappoint!

Instead of delivering both my new debit and credit cards at the same time, they decided to arrange two separate deliveries, even though the bank issued the cards the same day. Whatever; inefficiency is pretty normal here.

When CCD called me to arrange delivery, I asked if they could deliver my cards to my domestic helper, as I wasn't going to be home. They assured me it was no problem and took down her name and phone number, telling me she needed to have her ID for collection. No problem.

They gave me a time for delivery, and after that time came and went, I was sent an SMS with a new time. Again, no problem. I expected them to ***** up, and they did. Expectations met.

However, my domestic worker called me much later to tell me that when they DID arrive, they refused to give her the card because her name wasn't on the list.

I then called the call centre and was disconnected before I even got through giving my reference number. I called back and was told that I hadn't given an alternate name for delivery.

At this point, I asked to speak to a manager, because calls are recorded and I definitely DID give them my domestic worker's name. The manager said she'd listen to the calls and call me back.

Of course she never did, because you know, it's CCD.

I called again and asked for HER boss this time. She listened attentively and called me back when she said she was going to and sorted the issue out. But that's not the point. It took me far too many phone calls and my own time to arrange a simple delivery.

And now they're trying to organise delivery of the second card. I spoke to someone in the call centre this morning and arranged delivery to my wife's place of work. Then an hour later I got a call from the call centre saying they're trying to organise delivery of my card. I told them I had done that an hour ago, and she said there were no notes on the file.

Well done CCD- you've managed to hire EVERY *********** ***** in South Africa. I'm glad you're giving them jobs, because no self-respecting company would have such brainless amoebas working for them.

At least I think I've now figured out where Zuma has gone...with this sort of service delivery, it seems he's now running CCD.
