Driver refused to bring parcel to my house
Today I had to drive over 2km to the main road because the driver did not want to come to my house. I sent her my house location and she claimed that she doesn’t have data and I must come to her. How can you not have data when you are supposed to be doing deliveries? She claimed that head office is supposed to tell us that they don’t deliver to houses but “landmarks”. When I asked why then do they ask for our house address she changed her story and said “she can’t drive on gravel road because she’ll have a puncture”. I told her that’s absurd because people in our area have cars and experience no punctures. This is absurd. CCD shouldn’t take purchases from rural areas if you don’t want to come and deliver. I have a car and I know my rights; now imagine people who don’t have cars. They’d have to walk over 2km just to go fetch a delivery because someone claim their cars will get a puncture. This is really absurd and undermining. Why would she be the first to get a puncture? I’ve seen more punctures on the main road than in my area. RIDICULOUS!
