Disgusted

Today has been yet another frustrating day dealing with CCD couriers. My husband has a credit card with FNB to which I have full power of attorney for many years now and have had numerous problems with the bank and this delivery company due to incompetence of their staff in sorting the power of attorney out properly. The last time we had an issue with the courier company for the receiving of the cards we again took time off work and had to go wait at the bank and get them to have the cards delivered to the bank so that I could collect them. We then made that the option for all future cards as well to avoid all the headache and inconvenience COD and FNB cause us. Recently FNB confirmed twice via e-mail that there will be no more issues and everything is sorted. I have this power of attorney as I handle everything due to my husband not being available except during a short time in December. Today thankfully he was home or the delivery guy Thabiso (the name he gave me) would not have allowed me to take the cards. Even though my name is on one card he insisted on seeing my ID but my husband had to sign for collection. These were according to him, his orders from a person named Alex, the guy who is in charge of sending out the cards. This is ......... ridiculous. He also believes that because my ID number is not showing on my card ( name is) he cannot give it to me. So he "verified " my card with my name, looking at my husband's ID book. I mean really, what nonsense. So according to them, when someone has power of attorney, their name and ID number is to show on the original account holders account. Absolute ....... FNB needs to go back to old school and do their deliveries on their own or have people come and collect their cards etc at a branch. These courier companies just cause more and more chaos, frustration, headache and a lot of extra running around for us clients.
