CCD generally just bad service

I have all my cards delivered via CCD couriers (SBSA, Investec and Discovery), but certainly not by choice! It seems like all the banks use them. The process for delivery of bank and credit cards has NOT ONCE gone according to plan or on time or date over the past couple of years. I have never dealt with such bad service in all of my dealings. Delivery was arranged for 3 July between 8 and 10. I specifically stayed at the delivery address as my business requires me to be out a lot. No one arrived in the time slot arranged. With a window of two hours for delivery it should surely be possible to meet the agreed time slot. On previous occasions they just did not arrive on the day or time. Hence this time I had to phone and follow up. The call centre staff are ill equipped for their work and in my experience rude. I cannot understand why the banks all keep using this company when the service is so bad and the reviews of CCD are terrible. Surely another plan can be made to get my bank cards to me or let me collect it somewhere - anything that is less aggravating than dealing with CCD
