CCD Couriers worst service ever

Terrible delivery services. I scheduled for the delivery of my Woolworths card for between 9-11 this morning 12/01/2026. When the delivery guy called I went downstairs and told him I don’t have my ID he refused to help me even when showing him a soft copy of my id on my phone. I called CCD couriers and spoke to a supervisor. The lady still said no only hard copy of id. I can understand that so now I want to reschedule the time. My husband took the car this morning and forgot to take out my wallet. My husband went to Woodmead for meetings. The delivery man told me I can reschedule as I needed to get the card today before going to hospital tomorrow.

I called him and he said he can only come at 15:30. I asked the delivery man Andani to come back at 15:30 and he refused. He told me he can come back at 14:00 and said in so many words that he wants to knock off early. When I said I’m calling CCD couriers he said no it’s fine I can sign, and when I put the phone down he quickly back tracked. So I called again and spoke to a supervisor and I told the supervisor this and she called him while I’m there. On that call Andani tells her he can only wait until 12:00.

I was furious and told her it’s unacceptable that a worker tells a supervisor when he wants to leave and sorry for the customer you have to wait. After the whole drama I realised I have my passport just to be informed that CCD couriers do not accept a valid SA passport as a form of identification. What nonsense is this?

After a lot of back and forth the supervisor said she’ll call me back. As of now she hasn’t yet called me back. Then I took it upon myself to get in an uber and go fetch my id. It cost me R500 cause CCD courier’s delivery man Andani refuses to work “late”…

When I came back I tried calling him (bear in my mind it was still within my appointment time) and couldn’t reach him. Phone will ring and then go straight into voicemail. I had to call the call centre twice to find out how to get hold of him. First time the lady told me Andani will be there between 11:00 and 11:30. Guess what at 11:30 no Andani so I had to call the call centre again…

Never have I had such issues with CCD couriers untill today. Since when do employees tell supervisors when and how they will work or even to a customer? Also please tell me since when is a passport not a valid and legal form of identification? No wonder you have such a bad rating on Hello Peter.
