CCD couriers for FNB - the worst customer service.
First National Bank (FNB) uses CCD couriers to deliver bank and credit cards. Each time I have been issued a new card I get a missed call from CCD, never rings more than one second. Within the next few minutes I get an email stating that "CCD Couriers has been unable to contact you to arrange delivery of your FNB card. Please contact our office on telephone ********** 023" The problem is that a single ring on the phone is not an attempt to contact someone; what CCD does is to place the burden on the client to a) spend their own airtime money to call CCD, b) spend their own work/family time trying to connect to CCD call center, and c) take on the burden and responsibility to reach out to the courier. Subsequently, the courier tells you to be at the address between 9am and 4pm, with no consideration given that you might need a more precise time of day to be sitting and waiting for the courier. I have now refused to receive my bank cards from this courier, and would rather drive, walk or take public transport to collect the card from the bank branch myself. Fortunately we live in a market driven economy, and if enough people complain and avoid doing business with CCD they will be forced to pay attention the quality of service they provide. There are any companies eager for contracts. FNB - this outsourced service provider is seriously damaging your reputation and makes doing business with you unpleasant.
