Absolutely shambles at CDD Couriers Westville

Today the 05/05/2025 I went to CDD Couriers for a owner driver job. Interview was set at 10am.

1. The company makes u stand outside in the sun like u are a piece of **** .

2. The interview only commenced at 12pm. For 2 long hours management made us to stand outside.

3. Once I went into the company the manager who's a female didn't bother to take me to do the interview but rather wasted my time and spoke on matters outside work with another employee

4.i mentioned to the manager that I will report this conduct firstly on this platform because all their practices that I experienced is against the labour laws

5. She then mentioned to the said CEO or her boss that I will report this acts..

6. The said CEO said to her in my presence that maybe if I report this on this platform I will then get a job. He also belittled me in the presence of a few when speaking to the manager. Little did the Said CEO know that I do come from a business background. Also MR CEO don't undermine people you have no knowledge about. I come from a coding and software industry. I had my reasons to come for this position so don't be quick to undermine someone whos unemployed.

7. This is the reason why we find CDD Couriers below the packing order in this industry. Management don't care for simple human right.

How many of you guys will wait 2 hours on a scorching day like today. No communication to say there is delay. Absolutely no regard for future employees. Oh yes the said Manager also Said he don't care of social media platforms and I can report this and I just did so.

8. The salary is R6800 per month and petrol will be provided for delivery. No set amount on each delivery rather a fixed salary . FYI I was using a 2024 polo tsi hatchback with 15000km on it.

9. Who covers maintenence of the vehicle? We.must still damage our vehicles for your company yet you don't have any regard for us.

10. Personally based on what I have seen it's like I am being exploited. I must use my car for delivery and the wear and tear who pays me.It's my own take on this.

11. I would never ever refer anyone to CDD Couriers after my experience today.

12. Finally I contacted the offices in Jhb. Spoke to a senior manager in THABISO. Thabiso assisted me. He then mentioned they will look into this.
