Tenant prejudice
My Dimakatso Kgasu deciding at CBD property in Pretoria and now I have been residing in their building for one-year now and I recently got retrenched and I got a job in Rustenburg that I need to start there tomorrow 01/06/2020 and at the beginning of May I informed the caretaker that there is a possibility that I might be retrenched and I might move out but am still on consultation with the company and he advised that I should have the letter of retrenchment in writing and go their office in Visagie street Pretoria central and I went there on Thursday 28/05/2020 the date I received my retrenchment Contract and they chased me out saying I should come the following day which I did and they chased me out again saying their office is closed . And they are telling due to covid-19 am not allowed to move and I did read the terms and conditions of the housing Dept rules concerning tenants as I know that my case need provision hence I approached them from m the begging and now even the building manager by the name of Resego she also dropped the phone on my ear saying she can't do anything and I also called the building owner he said he is tired and sleeping.so I really don't know what to do as I believe I was fortunate to get a Job offer shortly after I just lost one and I believe as a tenant I am with my rights to move out because I don't owe them any money and I did inform caretaker of my problem before hand which he didn't inform his office. I need help because I need to move to Rustenburg and start my new job 01/06/2020 and I have a copy of my retrenchment and a copy of my new work which still it wasn't enough. According to them I owe rent for June 2020whereas I didn't inform caretaker of my unforseen circumstances before hand
