Sending E-ticket then suspending them without Notice
I made a Booking 530748 via STA Travel 30th June 2020,for travel May 2021.On the 24th August STA Travel filled for liquidation. I however immediate got in contact with Cathy Pacific asking if everything was still in order with my flights of which was said Yes. I once again called on the 10th September to confirm seeing that things could have changed in the meantime once again it was confirmed Via Cathy Pacific email all in order even emailing my E-Ticket. I then in the interim called the hotels and was advised hotels not paid .I was not to much worried as my biggest concern was the International flights of which Cathy Pacific confirmed was in order .I then went ahead and re-scheduled our Domestic Flight after confirming we are good to go. On the 7th October we checked the see if booking still valid via our booking ref: number saw that the booking is in valid. I immediately called Cathy Pacific and was told our tickets are suspended due to none payment from STA Travel. I did my due diligence to contact them the moment I heard of what was going on and everything I was told we are good to go and all in order .I am not sure what the agreement is between Cathy Pacific and STA TRAVEL if tickets is being settled once flown or does it gets paid after. When question was being raised and asked with regards to STA Travel they should have told me let us investigate and refer back to you not send tickets and confirming on 3 occasions all is in order only to be told now 7th October tickets suspended also after calling myself just to check .I am being given the ran around now not knowing what more to do .I have even sent the card swiped done to STA Travel which was settled in full as well as emails from Travel agent just before closure confirming on the 21st August all is good to go via email of which i have proof and that was also sent to Cathy Pacific. No-one is wanting to take responsibility for the error .Everytime I get told they are awaiting feedback from revenue department
