Cathay Pacific takes no responsibility.

<p>Last week, I flew to Xi'an in China. I had a transfer flight in Hong Kong and they stopped me there because I had a taser/stun gun in my check in luggage. Shannon van der Walt is the correspondent that I contacted at Cathay Pacific Airways and she kept on saying that it is not their responsibility. She sent me an email explaining which items are allowed in the check in luggage. It does not state anywhere that a taser is not allowed (although it even refers to slingshots, bows and CO2 guns (see attached). I had to make a statement at the police station (missing my flight), go to the court hearing the next morning and book a new flight to be in time for my employment contract in Xi'an. Furthermore, I incurred the unplanned cost of a night at a hotel because I had to be at the court early the next morning and the traffic is too bad to stay at the police station (as the detective explained to me). </p> <p> </p> <p>It is so common in this day and age to receive bad service from airlines. I am disappointed and I will not stand for it anymore. Somewhere, someone has to start taking responsibility. I know that if this had happened to Ms Van der Walt, she would also be upset and disgusted.</p>
