Good day, My Name is *****do Holose Qashani and is based in Mpumalanga and Gauteng Johannesburg, my home is at N U 13 Mdantsane, in the Eastern Cape. My complaint is about CASHBUILD at Mdantsane mall N U 6, last year 2023 October 02 called cashbuild wanted the quote so the person who answered the phone was MTHUNZI whom I believe now is transferred to another branch. He gave me this number *** so that I can forward him the floor plan via Whatsaap which I did. That floor plan was for the double garage with two bedrooms and a bathroom which was gona be the extension from the main house, on the main house they will extend our kitchen, dining room and put on the veranda obviously with the roofing. Now we wanted a passage that with join the garage with the main house neh so I also sent (separately) another measurement which was the addition to the floor plan. On the 4th October 2023 I did a follow up on the quotation and MTHUNZI told me that he is not the one dealing with the plans so he will refer this to another guy called Ta Terra, now while was still waiting for the quote I got a call from another guy called Lucky who said he got my numbers from cashbuild and he is a builder now I was so confused as a result I send a voice note to cashbuild(Mthunzi) told him that somebody called me saying he got my numbers from Cashbuild, Mthunzi was also confused and according to him he asked Ta Terra about the call I received from Lucky and he said Lucky saw my numbers while he was printing the floor plan (which was a lie according to me he gave lucky my numbers) so on that very same day they send me the quotation but send it bit by bit because he promised to send another one the following day which was the 5th of October. Now after comparing the builders and the prices for this job, we decided to take LUCKY the ONE we got from Cashbuild. Our reason for that was – we said to ourselves this guy got my numbers from Cashbuild meaning that they TRUST him so let’s take him as the builder for this project, on the 21 October 2023 I send a VN to Cashbuild(MTHUNZI) asking him if we can come to the shop the following day meaning the 22nd October he answered saying he is off that day but Ta Terra will be there, so the 22nd October 2023 I went to the shop and I met LUCKY there because I already told him that we decided to give him the job and on the 22nd I will go to the shop so it will nice if we meet there so that he must see everything. Indeed on the 22nd I went to the shop with quotation that was sent to me but unfortunately when I got there it was a bit high any way I ended up paying R190903.09,afterwards the same day I went home with LUCKY to show him the site remember he didn’t know where we staying , then on the 23rd October 2023 I made him to signed the contract from 23rd October to the 8th December 2023-because he agreed that he can take a month to finish the project especially that we have all the material, upon the signing of the contract 50% deposit of R36k was paid to him( EFT) and we agreed that he needs to report to me weekly of which he didn’t do that not even once, So after some days waiting for CASHBUILD head office to confirm payment, first batch was delivered but. This guy was not committed to this project or his work since the beginning, I told him that I will be there for a week or two so that I can see him starting the work and went back to Joburg and he agreed but yooooooo first of all he come very late pass nine to ten instead of seven o’clock. When my time was up there I left- first week came no report when I call he would say his phone is not right to capture (photos or Pictures) the progress so he will ask one of his employees to use the phone BUT dololo. The 8th of December 2023 came and pass Lucky never bother himself calling just to explain to me what the problem is, in November 2023 we did a universal call was me, my brother and Lucky asking him why progress was slow and why not sending me the report and he was duck and diving and after that call he was quiet. In February 2024 I went down to Eastern Cape I didn’t tell him went straight to CASHBUILD it was on a Saturday when I got there I requested a meeting so I asked Ta Terra to call the guy to come to shop as if I want to buy something so he must come and sign on my behalf, remember I called Lucky said to him I want to pay something so I need him to go to the shop to sign something and he said he needs to take to his child to the doctor so he will be there around 13h00 and I didn’t tell him that am at the shop already. Now I asked Ta Terra to call him because Lucky was not answering my calls anymore yooooooo people are cruel, when he answered the call Cashbuild Employee which is Ta Terra said to him”Hey Mfo uphi mahn lo sisi ulapha ngoku uyasithethisa (“Hey bro where are you now this Lady is here at the shop and is shouting at us”) Ta Terra was gossiping thinking I won’t hear that and immediately I asked him why are you telling the guy that am hear and he was embarrassed. So that day we had a meeting it was me, lucky, TaTerra, Mthunzi and Vuyo the Store Manager I managed to record the meeting , so from there we agreed that lucky will continue or finishing the job and I had only a week there so he agreed. The reason am writing to hello Peter it’s because still our home/house is not done and I’ve been trying to call lucky but not answering my calls and no one at CASHBUILD bother to call me just to check if everything or work was complete or not. So I thought to myself before suing the CASHBUILD let me engage the HEAD OFFICE.
