Rude customer because of floor mess

I had a very disturbing encounter in the Richard's bay store today. I was looking for shelves but the way to the shelves is very limited because of stuff on the floor. There was a male customer and i managed to get pass him. He did not see me when i went behind his back to the shelve. When i was done looking at shelves i try to pass him again from the back without disturbing him. The was polyester sips on the floor and i kicked it by accident. He turned around shouting at me tell me i should have just had to say excuse me and not kick stuff out of anger. This was totally the wrong impression i just did not want to disturb him. The more i try to explain that my intentions was not to kick the stock on the floor but he did not believe me and kept on shouting at me. I left the store extremely upset and i feel the floor ways need to be more accessible.
