Incorrect Pricing
<p>I went to purchase a tile from Cashbuild this morning and they had advertised the tile as R53 per square , so I was very suprised when I got to till and was about to pay and the realised that the price was double and with less tiles in the box, and when I made them aware they acknowledge that the tiles are less in the box, and when I went to check for other tiles in the shop everything was correctly priced and it corresponded, they then called their Head Office and queried this but all they said is that, this is how their system is set up , my question was why for this tile only, when all others correspond, they offered me a R1000 discount , I find this unacceptable i just want to pay for the price as displayed I was going to spent about R5000, and now the price has shot up to almost R9000 an with less tiles in the box</p>

After a week of not been contacted by the Divisional Manager Mr Makhwebane, I called him to find out how far he is with resolving the issue of the wrong pricing and fortunatly when I called him he was at the Thorntree store , and I was really shocked by his responce, the man was rude, defensive and not even willing to listen, he just told me I am really trying to take a chances and that I will NEVER get that tile at that price, which by they have displayedby the way.... and he will not allow that, when I asked him why is he getting so emotional cause he was sent by Head Office to come an look into the matter and resolve it he got even more upset, I really failed to understand why he was responding like that, and he even gave his phone to the store manager cause I guess he was just too angry to talk to me any further, I must say the store manager was very calm and willing to listen and spoke with respect. When the DM finaly got back to the phone he told me that there were 2 prices displayed on the wall and that was not the case , and fortunalty for me I took a picture. but I am really saddened and disappointed the Cash build management in the way the are dealing with their customers with such arrogance and disrespect, all I wanted was to buy the tile at the price that it is displayed why Im I being made to feel like Im doing something wrong??? trying to ***** my way and taking chances REALY!!!!!!!

I have escalted this matter to the consumer commission maybe you will listen to them better.

Your biggest issue here is that you do not want to admit that you made a mistake and I guess that is the culture at Cash Build, hence your DM is so arrogant because he knows you will believe everything he feeds you, and that he can be rude and he will be rewarded for rudness and dismissing customers.
