Worst experience ever!

I bought a canon camera and Samsung phone on 26/07/2019 at 17:00.

I then found out that the camera is blurry on sat (27/07/2019) after taking a few pictures.

The phone lasts for more or less 30 minutes & it also freezes.

I couldn’t go to the shop on Monday (29/07/2019) as I was out of town.

I went to cash crusaders Bfn on 30/07/2019 and spoke to the guy who assisted me to buy the phone of which he referred me to his senior.

The senior was reluctant to assist as he came with reasons of which I don’t have a receipt for the camera and phone. I understood that however I did have a receipt from the card machine of which will be able to assist them to reprint a full receipt.

He informed me that I should pay R175 for the receipt. I took the camera and left.

I bought a phone from Mtn mimosa after the incident as I can’t be inconvenienced like this.

I sent an email to cash crusaders bloem explaining the issue and included the below context:

"Could you please assist with the phone and camera. I want to return the phone (and get refund as I bought a new phone immediately after the incident) and send the camera for repairs"

I received a call from the store to take the camera and phone back as they'll be sent for repairs. I paid the R195 as the person who called explained that the R195 is actually for the warranty and not for the invoice reprint. I still didn't understand why I was not refunded my R700 for the phone as I bought a phone at mtn due to being inconvenienced.

I received an SMS in August 2019 that I should collect the phone. I refuse to collect the phone as I don't need it. I already have a reliable phone and I sent them an email asking for a refund and they informed me that they only refund if they can't fix the issue across 291 stores as that is the standard procedure.

I haven't fetched the phone, as I don't know what I'm going to do with it. All I know I'll never buy anything from cash crusaders. I'd rather pay more where I know I would get an amazing experience.

This was the worst experience ever!
