Unfair customer treatment not adhering to the CPA

Dear Cash Crusaders I recently visited your store in jackal creek corner with my son and we were interested in purchasing a guitar strap that was displayed with a price tag of R49.99. This strap is a perfect match for the guitar my son loves, which we purchased at the same store a few months ago. However, when I reached the till, I was informed that the actual price was R99.99. When I questioned this discrepancy, the manager explained that the price code didn't match the item, suggesting that a customer might have made the mistake. I understand that mistakes can happen, but I was hoping that we could come to a mutually beneficial solution. My son is really fond of the strap, and I would like to purchase it for him at the displayed price of R49.99. I believe that honoring the displayed price would be a great gesture of goodwill, especially considering that we are repeat customers. As per the South African Consumer Protection Act, I believe that the "price you see is the price you pay" rule should apply in this situation.
