PS4 Remote faulty
On Saturday, 20 June, I went to buy a PS4 remote for my son at Cash Crusaders Lephalale of which there was only 1 on the shelf and in his box. When he came home he took the remote out of the box with a struggling so naturally the packaging was torn. he then start playing. Later when I came to him and noticed that he was not playing with the remote, he told me the R2 and R1 buttons doesn't work and get stuck. I then placed back the remote in its packaging together with the slip. Tuesday 23June I arrived at the branch, they test the remote and recognized the buttons doensn't work properly and they are going to send the remote in for repair and can take from a week to a month to come back.
The one sales person went to talk to the owner/manager and she said she cant exchange/refund the item because of the box that was torn. I asked for the manager/owner's contact number where they don't want to give but rather will take me no. Thursday 25 June I am back at the branch to be able to talk to the owner/manager by yourself. In which she said they will need to sent it in for repair, it is Cash Crusaders's policy and they cannot interfere with the policy. And also can't exchange / refund it because the box being torn so they won't be able to sell him again as a new item. Well, according to me an item that was in for repair is no longer a new item. The case remains it is not about the box, but about the item purchased that is faulty that is why you should keep the slip. According to her, Cash crusaders will tell her its her loss and what they can't bear... But now what? Should I only leave it to be my loss?
Buy a refrigerator now and put the box outside and by night it starts raining and the box is damaged, tomorrow you see there the refrigerator is faulty, Then you also won't be able to take it back because of the box. Such retailers do have insurance that can cover for such type of loss.
I will never EVER buy anything again from CC
