Over price defective goods

I bought a tv on lay bye at the protea glen cash crusaders for R4300 it is a 49cm samsung tv which within two months was defective it had a problem switching on i went to the store on three different occasions to address the issue but was met with stories the first two times being informed that the reason it takes about 15 minutes to switch on is that its loading but when i finally had enough they had the audacity to tell the warranty period had expired how when i had returned the item two previous times anyway the third time because i wasnt having it anymore i was referred to the manager who advised that they would take it to the manager to have it diagnosed this was 22 last month but before any repairs are done they would contact me and advise me of the problem and the price of the repair before anything is done they were quiet for two weeks and on friday 4 May they decide to call and tell me repairs have been done it cost R1000 to repair the tv the store would pay R300 and i had to pay R700 and i asked what was wrong with the tv and they advised that they didnt know they just got the report from the technician and they are informing me now what happened to we will call before any work is done on the tv i still dont know what was wrong with it so i would be paying for something i dont know so in essence i paid R5000 for this tv the same amount a new one would have cost because their tv couldnt last for even 6 months this just taking people for a ride
