In February 2025, I pawned my PS5 controllers at Cash Crusaders N1 City, with a repayment deadline of 09/03/2025. Knowing I couldn't repay by March, I asked if I could pay by the end of May and was told I had a 5-month automatic extension with added monthly fees—no need to visit in March. When I went back on 27/04/2025, they claimed the deadline had passed and had already put my controllers up for sale. I originally got R1200 for both; one controller was in poor condition, but they still accepted it. Now, they’re reselling them for R1200 and R1300 each and refused to return them unless I repurchase. The manager recognized the staff member involved. I ended up buying a new controller elsewhere for R1450. This is to alert others: they’re selling faulty controllers at new prices.
