Franchises are supposed to be standardised.

One star only because cannot select nil

I have been purchasing games from my local Cash Crusaders for a long time. On one such purchase I noticed mention of a loyalty programme on the till slip and enquired about this. I was told this is something they used to do but not anymore.

A month or so later I purchased at a different Cash Crusaders and lo and behold my details were taken for a loyalty programme. I mentioned offhand how it was nice that they were still running the programme as the Pinetown store was not running theirs. The cashier seemed shocked and remarked that this was wrong as all stores were meant to run the programme.

I checked the Cash Crusaders website and found that it was a countrywide programme. Counting the number of games purchased I found that I was indeed due a free game of two. I emailed Shireen Chetty, the customer service/complaints contact person for Durban, and nearly a week later still do not have an acknowledgement. I have also emailed the headoffice (no response) and tried to phone the Durban number listed on their website (does not ring, call simply cuts).

From what I can see Cash Crusaders is run by ******* and ****** who frankly couldn't give two continentals about whether their franchisees are adhering to rules/standard practice.

I urge anyone to think carefully before supporting these tools. If they can't be bothered to respond to their customers no ways you are going to get any customers service if goods purchased prove to be faulty.
