Extremely frustrated mother...
I purchased a "new" proline laptop from cash crusaders Chris Hani Crossing Vosloorus on the 6th of December 2025, in January of 2026 when my daughter began using it for school she started complaining that the pc randomly switches off, even when the battery is full, I thought it probably needs a certain system update of some sort, I honestly did not act as quickly as I should have being a working mother and all. In the beginning of May 2026 I took the laptop to the store to report the problem, they tested the battery in front of me and told me it seems to have an error, I left the pc with them for repairs. I have been going to the store every weekend for the past 3 weeks with no certain way forward, I was told the technician is still busy repairing it, then I was told he was waiting for a part, I left my phone numbers and no one from the store has ever called me, I have to proactively go to the store every weekend for any type of update. Today, they are basically insinuating that the pc had some type of damage and that is the reason they are unable to fix it, I believe when you take any type of product for repairs the first box that needs to be ticked is whether or not there is any type of external issue that may have caused the damage and the in-house technician would not have even attempted to fix damage that would have been caused by us in any way. From what I understand the pc is not even in the store right now and the staff cannot tell me if this issue can even be resolved. I find it extremely convenient that they are now trying to push the blame to me. I am extremely frustrated and I cannot believe I spend over R2000 on a product that they may return to me still broken.
