Don't trust Cash Crusaders Matlosana Mall

I would just like to warn people in Klerksdorp not to do business with Cash Crusaders in Matlosana Mall.

They do not honor their own policies or written commitment, should the need arise. I purchased a Dell PC from them yesterday. The PC had no hard drive installed, and it also had no power supply. I negotiated the price down to R1199 with the manager, Alfred. Alfred informed me that they have an original power supply for the device; they just need to find it. I stood there for almost 30 minutes while his staff looked for the promised power supply. Sadly they could not find it and Alfred had disappeared into the back office and I was informed that he will be busy for a while.

In my previous endeavors with the franchise, they have often treated me well. When I bought an iPhone from them and discovered that the camera was broken, they committed to refund me when I had the phone repaired, and presented them with the VAT invoice.

Since I knew that this was an option, I asked the sales lady, Thato, if I could purchase my own, and if they found theirs on that day, 21 May 2025, that I would then simply return the one I bought. If they did not find it, I proposed that they simply refund me the price I paid for the power supply.

After talking it over with her colleagues she agreed, firmly believing that they would find theirs since their manager said there was one, but they could not find it since he was busy.

This all transpired on 21 May 2025 at 10:13 am. I promised to return in the afternoon to pick up either my refund or the power supply.

At 15:00 I returned from my travels and presented Alfred with the invoice for the power supply since he immediately told me that they don't have one!

Thato had signed the invoice and had written the agreement out on the back of my invoice. I kindly demanded that they honor their agreement and Alfred started shouting at Thato, the sales lady.

I once again asked Alfred if does not want to reconsider honoring the agreement, he flatly refused.

I left the store, on my ride home Alfred phoned me and told me to bring the computer back that he will refund the entire purchase and sell the computer to someone else. At this time I had already purchased all the missing parts and I did not want to return the PC.

So bottom line, if you can mange it don't do business with Cash Crusaders Matlosana Mall beacayse this is proof that they don't keep their agreements.
