***** Doogee
On or about the 10th June 2017, I purchased a second hand phone from Cash Crusaders in Boksburg at Pepper Square opposite Eastrand Mall. The phone speaker was not fully operational and mistakenly I dropped the phone and the screen got cracked. So on the 23rd July 2017, when I had a chance to pass by the store, I took the phone in to be repaired as other cellphone repairs stores told me that they do not have the screen and advised that I should go back to the place where I bought the phone as it was still under warranty for the speaker to be fixed and the screen to be replaced as they are the only once who could have it. In taking it in, I was never given a receipt of some sort or any proof that they received the phone for it to be fixed lie other Cash Crusaders would. I was just told verbally that it will take not more than two weeks at the most for it to be fixed. And I had to buy a phone so I could still be connected. I then asked the sales guy why did he sell me a ***** Doogee phone which he didn't even explain to me clearly about except for that it is their in store brand which I can still use for whatsap and google maps. He didn't even tell me that it is an expensive phone to maintain because I couldn't have bought it. I was promised that I would get a call to come and fetch my phone within two weeks which never happened. I then went to the store three weeks later to learn the phone never went for repairs and I had to wait for about an hour to be told this. When I asked to talk to the boss, I was told she/he is not around, and I asked for confirmation that I will get the phone in two days time, but now for the first time I was told about a R600 I had to pay for fixing the phone. I told them it did not make sense to me because I purchased the Doogee X 6 for R1000, then they told me R300+ is for fixing the phone R200+ is for booking the phone in which is very unfair to me, because it doesn't make sense to change a phone screen for R600 if the phone is R1000. I told them I would come back to fetch my fixed phone at 12 noon on Thursday the 17th August, then escalated the matter to their Head Offixe , after holding on the phone for five minutes, I dropped the call to call again and get to talk to the same person who made me hold for a long time only to respond to me in a rude manner then transfer me to a lady called Gaby or a name similar who seemed very helpful.
Gaby told me she will escalate the matter to the store manager who will call me within 24 hrs to try and resolve the matter, which never happened. Again, I had to drive back on Thursday after 12 noon to fetch the phone because I never got the call, only to be given the unfixed. I then demanded to talk to the store manager and as usual I was told he is not there then I asked for a senior employee who then showed me the price list of fixing their ***** Doogee phones and I told him they are overly priced and should have disclosed this information to me before I even bought the phone. Now I am stuck with a phone with a cracked screen and a broken speaker which could not be fixed for a perion of three weeks, its like I threw my money down the drain.
I seriously need help what do I do.
