08 May 2026, 08:42I would like to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent experience with Princess Crossing Cash Crusaders and Dixon TV’s.
On 21 March 2026, I switched on our 55-inch Dixon TV in the morning and found that the display was no longer working. The sound was audible, and a very dark image was visible, but the backlight had failed. This TV was purchased on 19 April 2025 from Princess Crossing Cash Crusaders and was still within the 12-month warranty period.
This issue is especially concerning as our previous 55-inch Dixon TV, purchased in February 2024, experienced the same display failure shortly after its warranty expired. Based on our past positive experiences with Dixon TVs, we remained loyal to the brand and purchased a replacement.
Upon discovery of the fault, we returned the TV to Cash Crusaders with all accessories and in the original box. The store consultant tested the unit and confirmed that the display was not functioning. The TV had been wall-mounted since purchase and was only removed on the day it was returned; it was not subjected to unnecessary movement or impact.
We were informed that the TV would be sent to the Dixon repair centre and that the inspection process would take up to 21 working days. After this period elapsed, I followed up and was informed that the repair centre had reported a cracked motherboard. This diagnosis was disputed, as the TV had not been moved or exposed to conditions that could cause such damage. The store manager agreed to query this further.
Despite multiple follow-ups, I did not receive consistent or clear communication. On 7 May 2026, I was informed that the damage was allegedly caused by mishandling on our part, including pressure app**** to the screen. This allegation is strongly denied. If any mishandling occurred, it could only have happened while the unit was in the possession of Cash Crusaders or the repair centre.
Additionally, the TV was returned to us with tape on the screen, without our original remote or the TV stand feet, which were provided at the time of collection. This is unacceptable.
I am extremely dissatisfied with both the service received and the contradictory explanations provided. I request a formal written explanation, the return of all missing accessories, and a resolution in line with the warranty—either a replacement unit or a full refund.
