Disgusting treatment from a Store Manager

On the 17th of March, I purchased a camera from Cash Crusaders Randburg Square. I did not sign the slip as we could not test the product, the battery was flat and there was no manual. The consultant who assisted me also did not know how the camera worked. The camera came with two lenses. The camera was purchased for work, but because of the long weekend, the camera remained at the office. On Wednesday, we tried to take the lens out and it was stuck, when it did come out we noticed that there was a ***** loose in the camera and that the bracket was broken on the lens. I immediately contacted Megan (the consultant who assisted me when I purchased the camera) and advised her of the problem, and advised her I would bring in the camera for her to have a look. I went to the store and spoke to Megan who then requested the Manager to come and talk to me as he claims it is physical damage to the camera and that they do not cover repairs on lenses, this is not mentioned anywhere in the store or when I purchased it. Whilst I was standing in the store waiting for the Manager to come see me he walked out the store, when he came back he ignored me calling him and locked himself in the stock room, and refused to come out and talk to me. Instead, he told his employee to give me the Head Offices' number. This is pathetic that a Manager will send his staff out to the firing line and will not accept responsibility of the title.

I have never in my life been so disgusted by the behaviour of a Store Manager.

I contacted Head Office which was a waste of my time as they claim that the Franchise Owner will not do anything about it. When I asked are they going to allow the store to get away with the way they treated their customers, their reply was I will try....... My question is how can Cash Crusaders allow a Franchised Store to treat customers like this without any repercussions whatsoever? They are allowing Franchised Owners to tarnish the Cash Crusaders brand.

I will never buy anything from Cash Crusaders again and I will tell everyone I know about the disgusting way they treat customers. Judging from the comments on Hello Peter I am not the only one!!!.
