Disgrace.

Please be very aware of taking a loan against a laptop at Cash Crusaders. I was in a bind after being in Namibia and on returning to promises, was left in a lurch. I took my business laptop with years of crifical data on to acquire an urgent loan untill the issues were resolved. I paid 2 months interest/ extention fees of 22%. Both payments was payed on the said date.

Imagine my surprise when I contacted Cash Crusaders, to get the final amount to go fetch my laptop, just to be told that my laptop was formatted for reselling at a 100% profit, as the payment was not received the previous month. After providing the proof and they admitting their error at the branch and that headoffice didn't forward the prove of payment! I presented them with two options. Either they buy the now formatted laptop at a fair price, or do data recovery on the harddrive and I shall pay the loan. This matter was duely escalated to headoffice for a decision.

Suffice to say, I was bombarded from headoffice with internal mumbo jumbo of payment methods and a long winded explanation why this was actually my fault. Although the documents support my claim that I was in the right, the investigation was summarily closed without a solution after 3 weeks of back and forth! Now I am left now with no option as to go this route. So my warning would be, think twice before selling or loaning anything at Cash Crusaders. In this case, Cash Crusaders will give you R2500 loan on a laptop that's worth between R15 000 and R20 000. The interest is 22% and they'll sell the laptop at 100% profit! This is absolutely daylight *******.
