Complaint about Cash Crusaders Uitenhage

I bought a Dixon plug-in /rechargeable speaker in September 2020. My speaker is now not working, it doesn't switch on. Today I went to Cash Crusaders Uitenhage to report it according to the warranty on my receipt. I was told that the warranty has lapsed as it falls under 6 months non-electric appliance. I asked why so, because in order for the speaker to function it has to be plugged in to be fully charged. The lady that helped me told me that electrical appliances are kettles, irons etc, so the speaker is not in that category. In my understanding if an appliance uses electricity in order to function it then falls in the electrical appliances section otherwise they should have stated that " excluding audio appliances" when they mentioned electrical appliances. I need your assistance with the above
