Cash Crusaders Woodstock: ******** BEWARE!!
On the 14/09/2019 I went to Cash Crusaders Woodstock looking to buy a used smart phone for my mother who currently doesn't have a phone. I was assisted by a sales person named Jack, Dlokweni. I told Jack my budget was R600. He brought me back a Samsung Galaxy Z2 Gold and a charger. The only thing he did was to switch it on and hurried me to the till to conclude the sale. I then immediately went to courier the phone to the Eastern Cape. Only to find out when my mother tried to use it that the phone had defects. I advised her courier it back to me.
On 05/10/2019 the phone arrived at Postnet, I went to Cash Crusaders Woodstock soon thereafter. I asked to see Jack because, he had sold me the phone without demonstrating all the phones functions to be in working order. All he had done was to show me that the phone can be switched on, then hurried me to till to conclud the sale. I explained to him that this was ********* and I demanded a full refund. Jack proceeded to tell me that their shop don't do refunds. I asked to talk to someone else. Another sales person approached with a name tag "Khaya". I am assuming her name was Khaya because she never introduced herself or advised us of her role, but proceeded to tell us that the store does not do refunds. At this point I was looking to speak to a manager, curiously no one out rightly came out as the manager, until a man with no name tag approached us, again he too did not introduce himself but proceeded to tell us that they don't do refunds even if the device was not tested/demonstrated in front of me (the customer) adequately. The nameless sales person or manager proceeded to write me down a number I can call if I want to complain about the whole ordeal. When I asked for his name and position he said it's on the paper he wrote down. The piece of paper had the following written down :" Sibongile *** ". This said nothing to about his role or even if that was his real name.
To my frustration I left the store without knowing whether I had dealt with a manager or not, with a useless phone and those ****** with my money.
This was a terrible experience and I hope other customers learn from what happened to me, their business practices are very *********. To show they knew the phone was damaged, they didn't even want to accept buying it back from me -(something to think about)
BEWARE CASH CRUSADERS WOODSTOCK!!
