Cash crusaders ********* practice
After being a fairly regular and faithful customer at cash crusaders I was burnt by them. I pawned my laptop and forgot my due date and I had lost my contract. I was under the impression it was due on the 2nd of June. Only to get there and be told it expired on the 30th of May. So they offered me a maximum loan of R2000 but now my item was on the floor at R6500 and I could buy it back at R6500. So I said no thank you. When I got home and read the last section on the contract they were so kind to reprint for me, I realised that I never got an SMS to remind me. Now when i question i get told it says the sms is a courtesy. For goodness sake don't people know how to read english properly. After the words courtesy they said WILL BE. The moment they said will be it no longer became a courtesy, it became a "we will". Then they go on to say if you dont receive the SMS due to network failure it is not our responsibility. So why say that if you are not going to send the SMS anyway because it's a "courtesy "? And if it's a courtesy, to who exactly is it extended to? What is the criteria to qualify for this courtesy. You can not SMS others and exclude others, that becomes discriminatory. So I am not going to take this lying down. I have decided to pursue the legal route and they had better pray that my laptop will not be sold in the mean time because I will demand a new one. And obviously they have wiped my data if they have put it on the floor. So if I win this legal battle then I demand compensation for that. Go to your legal team and I will go to mine. I feel this is great injustice and I am very angry. I was only late by 3 days and I explained my reason and they failed to negotiate. After being such a long standing customer.
