Cash Crusaders (taking advantage of the vulnerable)700727

I was forced to go pawn my laptop on 26th Sept'22 as I needed money to go up and down for interviews as I was unemployed. I met the Ops manager instore at Campus Square, Talita Humme and she was quite helpful and friendly. I was due to buy back my goods on 25 Oct'22 but didn't have the full amount then I decided to extend it by paying the interest so as not to lose my goods. The branch manager named Sky, happily extended my date as I explained that I would definitely have all the funds by 31 Oct'22. She explained that I didn't need to make any payment on that day so I was gratefully geared up for collecting my goods on 31st. I was lucky to start a job on the same day so I sent a watsapp requesting whether I could please send my cousin with my ID and original contract to collect just to find, to my horror, I was advised that the business already had their technician wipe all my info from my laptop to put in their showroom for sale. Clearly, I was livered. I am a current Law student and all my doc's were wiped including all software I had on the laptop at the time. The branch manager, Sky, wanted me to pay for and leave my item in the store so that their technician could replace my software but I declined. My trust in them was already comprised!!! I sent an email to their H/O for the attention of Talita and Theo on the same day and am yet to receive a response.

I just see these kinds of businesses as preying on the unemployed and vulnerable because by law, my item was still my property until midnight of 31st Oct'22 although, in this case, being a business, should have been by COB but none of this was adhered too as per their contract now I have my laptop but all info was erased. It's useless to me right now. It is now going cost me to reload the software but my study data is permanently gone.🙆

I demand that they send their technician to my home to re-install the software as this was their error. I'm so disappointed and wouldn't advise anyone, even if you are desperate to go to Cash Crusaders because they take advantage of the underprivileged, sadly.😢
