Cash Crusaders Crusader's ********* business practices

My complain is about Cash Crusaders in Overport Durban.

I'm concerned about Cash Crusaders' business practices, particularly regarding vulnerable individuals like my son. He has a mental health disorder and struggles with substance abuse. Recently, he stole a PS4 game and sold it to Cash Crusaders with some acquaintances, receiving R1800 under a loan agreement with his name and ID number. However, he didn't sign the contract, and the agreement states he'll repay R2258.34 by June 20, 2025, with interest.

When I spoke to the manager, explaining my son's situation and offering to repay the R1800, they insisted on the full amount stated in the agreement. I questioned how they could approve a loan for someone with a mental health condition, substance abuse issues, and no income. The manager's response was concerning, stating they don't conduct blood tests or verify employment status.

I believe Cash Crusaders' practices may be enabling social issues like substance abuse and predatory lending. They seem to be taking advantage of vulnerable individuals without proper checks or support. I think they should reconsider their policies to prioritize customers' well-being.
