Cash Crusaders Bluff more like cash raders Bluff

Good day everyone 28 October 2021 I gave my niece some cash to purchase herself a bluetooth speaker from cash crusaders on the Bluff Durban. She purchase the device and was happy with her purchase and went home excited. But excitement soon became a nightmare when after three weeks of use the device started to give problems. On 24 December 2021 she went with her mother to the store to complain about it. The store accepted the device and booked it in for repairs. Two months later and there was no response from the store to give any status on the repairs. I went to the store and queried the status and was informed by the manager that the device could not be repaired because the battery was the issue and is not covered under the warranty. I asked the manager how is it possible that the battery is not covered under warranty when main component of the device is the battery to operate it. He told me that he will take it up with the repair workshop and rectify it. I told he besides the ste of the battery ,the device its self came back from repair in a terrible condition. However the device was taken back and sent back to repairs. We are in October 2022 and to date I have not heard from the store or any representitive from Cash Crusaders to state what is the way forward. I go to the store and get told that they manager will contact me and yet no one has contacted me or my niece. We do not have the device and we are out of cash. No where on the carton/box or receipt does it state that the battery is not under warranty or guaranty This is a travisty and the consumer council needs to clamp down on stores that abuse their clients in such a manner.The device is still in the custody of cash crusaders Bluff. I did request a refund or replacement device with no joy.
