Cash Crusaders Blu Valley Mall no refund policy on goods

I recently bought a PS4 Joystick from Cash Crusaders @Blu valley mall the Reeds Centurion. When I got home it wasn't working. I returned the joystick to find out that Cash Crusaders will under no circumstance refund you even if their stock isn't working. They sell second hand goods and will not give you your money back as a policy if something isn't working. The manager told me they couldn't replace my joystick because it was working on their (un-updated) PS4 and the fact that, I had taken it to 2 different friends' place to play and it didn't work, didn't matter. It needed to fail at the shop. I then brought an updated PS4 with Fifa 18 to test at the store and lo and behold the **** (some weird brand) joystick gave up like I was telling him. The manager then reiterated that under no circumstances could I be refunded - their policy apparently. I have never run into a more ********* business model and can;t for the life of me believe that the company prints a no refund policy on their receipts, then points customers to it in such situations because they are 100% sure you are unaware of this policy. I must say I also felt the fact that I couldn't use the joystick as intended and was missing out on gaming time was a disregard of my rights as a young black person. I am very much aware that as a paying customer I am protected by the consumer protection act which enforces that when I make purchase I am to receive that which I paid for. Such behavior of treating black customers as secondary citizens will not be tolerated
