Biased AND Spiteful manager
Good day
I'd like to lodge a formal complaint against the Manager of the Atrium store in Durban.
It has become obvious to us that he is bias against my husband as every time we bring in a musical instrument to sell or on a buy back the staff have to call him and ask his permission. He asks who is bringing it in and then makes up an excuse why his staff must tell us "no".
My husband is a collector and has 20 yrs experience in valuation of vintage and modern guitars and pedals. So it's extremely humiliating when the excuses used contradict the facts. Trust me we have tested this theory more than once by sending somebody else in with the same item and it is accepted no questions asked.
This unfortunately stems from 2 incidents in the past between the Manager and ourselves. One where the log on my laptop showed that it had been used whilst under a pawn agreement in the store. The log file cannot lie. My husband confronted the Manager who became rude and called us as crazy. The second is where staff member mistakenly offered my husband a guitar pedal which he didn't know the Manager wanted for himself. We know this because we heard the shouting from within the office at the staff member in question and it's since then that the refusal to accept anything musical has been blatant.
I'm aware of all the excuses given as reasons but bottom line is that this man us abusing his power and being for lack of a better word spiteful. If not he wouldn't accept the guitars and pedals when others bring them in. And that is disgusting behaviour associated with your good brand
