Bad After-Sales Service and No knoewlegde of the law
<p><span style="font-family: sans-serif;">In March this year (2017), I bought a DooGee X9 Mini for my daughter at the Cash Crusaders Newton Park branch in Port Elizabeth.</span></p> <div id="m2224" class="mail-message expanded" style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif;"> <div class="mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images " style="overflow-wrap: break-word; margin-top: 16px; margin-bottom: 16px;"> <div class="clear"> <div dir="auto"> <div dir="auto">I had to take it back a few weeks later as the speaker was not working. It was sent for repairs.</div> <div dir="auto"> </div> <div dir="auto">Subsequently, it often switches off and cannot be switched on for a few days due to software issues. It then works for a few days and then the same thing.</div> <div dir="auto"> </div> <div dir="auto">I took it back again on 30.06.2017 and was promised by the manager there Lee-Ann that they would send it for evaluation and get back to me before the end of the business day.</div> <div dir="auto"> </div> <div dir="auto">When I realised that she would not be phoning me, I phoned to find out what is happening only to be told that she has gone home and will only be back on Monday.</div> <div dir="auto"> </div> <div dir="auto">This is pathetic customer service and as a consumer I am being treated like an idiot by this manager of one of the franchises.</div> <div dir="auto"> </div> <div dir="auto">Part H of the Consumer Protection Act, subsection 56 (2) directs that as a consumer, I am entitled to, within 6 months of purchase:</div> <div dir="auto"> </div> <div dir="auto">Repair, replace or expect full refund. At the direction of the consumer.</div> <div dir="auto"> </div> <div dir="auto">This "manager" believes that their terms and conditions are higher than any law of this country. Not sure how she became a manager without understanding that any law of the country is higher than anything she might understand.</div> <div dir="auto"> </div> <div dir="auto">As of 1 July 2017, I am still waiting for someone to contact me to let me know what is happening.</div> </div> </div> </div> </div>
