5m guitar lead.

I bought a new guitar lead at Cash Crusaders Rylands, Athlone. When paying the cashier told me to hold onto my till slip as there is a 12-month guarantee on the guitar lead I bought. About 4 weeks later I brought the guitar lead back as it broke and low and behold I was told it is not a guarantee but a warranty. All I wanted was the lead to be replaced so I could use my guitar. They called the manager Adrian who explained it is a warranty I have on the goods, which mean it must be sent to the head office to assess and repair, and this will take about 21 days. I explained to the manager how could I use my guitar without a lead and wait 21, which is not guaranteed! I told them if they are not going to help me because I bought a new lead and I do not want a repaired lead from their head office. The manager said this was company policy. I took the papers they gave me and on my way out, there was a young couple that bought an item with 12 months guarantee, just to be told the exact story. How is it possible to buy kitchen utensils which you must use every day just to be told the same story. I do not understand the logic in this guarantee to a warrantee situation. Hope your team can expose these companies that use words to take advantage of us senior citizens. Blessings!!!!!!
