Extremely Disappointed by Lack of Quality Standard – Carrol Boyes ****tail Shaker
I’ve been a loyal supporter and proud owner of numerous Carrol Boyes products for many years. From cookware to décor, I’ve built an extensive collection and have always admired the distinctive design and (what I believed to be) unwavering quality of the brand. My family and friends have also invested significantly in these products, often as thoughtful gifts. Recently, I received a Carrol Boyes ****tail shaker for my birthday in July 2025. Unfortunately, after only a few uses, the inner metal holder broke off. It appears the welding was faulty—certainly not what I would expect from a premium product associated with high quality and craftsmanship. As I truly believed this was an isolated manufacturing defect, I reached out to Carrol Boyes with photographs of the damage. After many emails, however, I was stunned by the response I received: “Kindly note that all our items go through quality checks in our quality control department, all items that fail are sold at an extremely discounted rate at our charity event that happens annually.” This raises several troubling issues: • Is Carrol Boyes knowingly selling defective products—even at charity events? If so, this undermines consumer trust in the brand and damages its reputation. • What about quality assurance and customer care for genuine defects? I cannot provide a receipt (as it was a gift), but I expected better support from a brand with such a high-end reputation. • Is there no accountability for post-purchase product failure, even with clear photographic evidence? The implication is clear: Carrol Boyes will not stand by the quality of their product unless you have a receipt, even in cases of apparent manufacturing defects. This is deeply disappointing. Brands build loyalty not just through their design and product range, but by how they respond when something goes wrong. Sadly, this experience has forced me to reconsider my trust in Carrol Boyes and what the brand now represents.
