Be aware of unexpected car hire charges and hidden fees

I booked a car rental without realizing that CarJet was acting as the broker for Pace Car Rental. When I collected the vehicle, I had to pay the full rental amount directly to the rental company. To my surprise, I was also charged by CarJet for 57% of the rental cost as a brokerage fee.

I tried to recover this unexpected fee, but my attempts were unsuccessful.

My advice is to be very careful when booking through CarJet. Make sure you understand exactly what charges are included before confirming your reservation. I would also be cautious when booking with rental companies, including Pace Car Rental, that have agreements with CarJet, as you may end up paying significantly more than you expected.
