Car Care Clinic in Tokai, WC and their team charge customers ******ionate rates for very shoddy work and then take zero responsibility.

I had my Hyundai Getz repaired by their team on the 12 May 2025 for a bad oil leak. They charged me R11, 899.60 for this work and also told me that my car needs an engine overhaul and quoted me another R13, 441.20 for a strip and quotation for this work.

On the 15 May I drove up to Port Elizabeth and the next morning my car was leaking oil again.

I took it in to my old mechanic (20 May) in Port Elizabeth to get the oil leak repaired again and to have a service. He found that the new tappet cover Car Care Clinic team replaced on my car had been put on skew by your team and then cracked (see attached photographs), causing it to leak again badly. He had to replace the tappet cover again which came to R1250.

Car Care Clinic guarantee their work for 6 months or 10, 000 kms. I requested that you reimburse me for this part and labour as I am well within the 6 months and 10,000 kms of this repair.

After servicing my car my old mechanic also does not agree with the Car Care Clinic team that my car needs an engine overhaul. Their labour prices are also vastly inflated. After I sent them this request they didnt even have the decency to reply to my email. After calling them they blamed the broken tappet cover on me and refused point blank to replace the new repair. They ***** from customers in the form of their excessive labor costs and then take no responsibility for their shoddy work. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE
