Shoddy workmanship car care clinic valleyview

I booked my Ford ranger in for a service at car care clinic valleyview as it advertised a 76 point check, and as I had only recently purchased the vehicle, I needed to confirm it was mechanically sound. I never received any report or as yet any information as to what these points were.

I was informed that i needed to replace brakes pads and skim the discs. I reported that the headlights were not working on dip beam and that it involves resetting the body control module. When I called, I was told that the module had been reset and the lights were working and the only outstanding work was waiting for the auto electrician to check out an ABS fault. I had repaired the faulty wire, but was told my repair was suspect and the electrician would not touch it. I am from an avionics electronics background and know how to correctly splice wiring. Since resetting the ECU the problem is gone.

When I arrived to collect my vehicle, a technician was still busy resetting the module again as the battery had run flat and jump starting had locked the module again.

I replaced the brake pads myself and noticed the brake fluid nipples were untouched so the system could not have been flushed as billed. I then decided to check all works done. The rubber panel inside the wheel well had been ********** splitting the eyelets instead of undoing it and damaging it. It was left hanging under the vehicle. The oil filter was fitted with incorrect tooling as it has gouge marks on it. To me it is still dirty and untouched and seems it was not replaced. The biggest problem for me is how the sump plug was fitted with a glue type sealer all around it. This to me is blatant unprofessionalism at its best and I am hesitant to take my vehicle back as requested. I since visited the Ford agent regarding the BCM module and was told that it had been reset too many times and it was now locked, meaning it now has to be replaced. Surely car care clinics workshop should be aware of this and not just keep resetting the unit.

I have photos of all workmanship issues and intend to take this matter further as I believe that as a resultp of shoddy workmanship, I now have to replace a sump due to a stripped plug and the BCM module that was reset too many times. This is most likely going to cost in excess of R14000. Over and above redoing what was not done in the first place.

To top it all off, the vehicle ran smoothly when taking it in and now sounds and runs like a tractor.
