Repairs done without an approved quote - inexperienced mechanics

They started doing repairs to my vehicle before giving me a quote and getting authorisation. (I had to call them 3 times on the Friday, left my car there for the weekend, called twice on Monday, and was told they were going ahead - Frans, the mechanic, never called to let me know what was wrong or what the quote might be.)

I took the car in for a vibration in the engine, dead radio and possible engine mounting replacement. NONE of these issues were addressed. Instead the idiot mechanic wanted to replace my brake pads (reportedly at 80%) and tried to explain that a CV joint was causing an oil leak in the gearbox.

Very disappointed as I believe I got good service from their previous mechanic. I will NEVER go back there, and will be advising all my friends and family to avoid the place.
