Poor workmanship.
My cars waterpump broke and took it to Car Care Clinic because it was the closes place to my work. They replaced the water pump, and cam belt with tensioner etc. When I took possession of the vehicle I didn't even leave the parking area when multiple warning lights lit up the dashboard. Immediately took it back. They had the car for a week to replace the water pump and cam belt. When I finally received the vehicle I noticed that the egine noise was loader than I got used to. I drove to Potchefstroom. This is my wifes car. On Friday my wife drove to Florida. On the N12 close to Libanon mine she heard a strange noise. She pulled over inspected the car and continued driven as no visible damage. After a while the battery light came on then the aircon stopped working. When she reached Florida she parked rhe car. And when she returned the battery was dead. The car was jump started and she drove about a kilometer when the car came to.a standstill. I went to Florida to see what was wrong. I phoned my insurance who sent a truck to tow the vehicle. The mechanic phoned me and gave.me the news that the crankshaft pulley fell off. In the process the crankshaft sprocket was damaged as well. He explained that the pulley is attached with 4 bolts to the crankedshaft sprocket. These bolts ideally should be fastened with a torgue wrench to secure. The only way this pulley could fall off is when the bolts were not fastened correctly. The last people working on my car was Car Care Clinic Northcliffe.
