Poor quality service by Car Care Clinic

On 06 June 2020, I took my car a BMW 520d in at Car Care Clinic Cnr. Ontdekkers & CR Swart Road for brakes. Brake pads replacement, sensors replacement and disk scheming were performed. The cost of the job was R5447. 55. Few days after the work, I took it back it complain about the clicking noise on the left wheel. The noise always stopped when I press the brake pedal as though something is loose - this noise was never there before the service was initially done. The vehicle was tested, the noise heard but when taken in the workshop and checked no fault was identified. I was advised that it is because the disks have been schemed and that when I replace the disks the noise will disappear. I questioned why the right hand side was not doing the same and there was no clear answer.

Further few days afterwards while driving the vehicle, the left side sensor snapped and I took it in that when they did a replacement at no cost. I drove the car afterwards with the clicking noise still evident and still felt that I was served a shoddy service and couldn't feel at ease believing that it was the schemed disks. I sought opinions and various mechanics who all disputed the possibility of schemed disks being the reason without checking the car as I avoided multi-hand touching the vehicle. That convinced me that I was being taken for a ride by Car Care Clinic. I took the car back on 10/09/2020, the car was test driven, noise confirmed, car was lifted and the noisy side was visually inspected without any stripping. I told the Technical manager that I had took the car for alignment and there it was confirmed that nothing was wrong with the suspension. The Technical manager at Car Care Clinic insisted that there was nothing wrong and advised me to take it to BMW. The Technician advised me to bring in when I have time for a proper check - this indicated and confirmed that all along proper checking was not done.

On 14/09/2020 I took it to BMW and BMW informed me they would charge me R1500 to inspect. I felt strongly that Car Care Clinic was taking me for a ride and took the car back to them on 15/09/2020. I told them that since they claim to be car experts and had never advised me that their knowledge was limited to attend to my car when I initially took it in they need to find the problem and sort it out. The receptionist booked it in for 16/09/2020 and indicated a cost of R506. 00. That made me feel abused and undermined hence I register this complaint & dissatisfaction at their poor service. I need to point out that this type of service is totally unacceptable and that the repairs must be made to ensure the noise issue is resolved.
