while investigating an issue I had with my car (switching off and engine heating) they informed me that my thermostat was dislodged and had fell off. It would require a replacement of the thermostat, housing and switch. and would cost around 5,000 in parts and labour. When I eventually got the detailed bill and saw what was done i investigated the costs only to find that the parts in total costs around 1,500 and they charged me around 4,000. As i had approved I could not dispute payment even though i told the person what the real pricing was . He said that they only put a 35% markup and that the pricing was as per their suppliers.

In addition they also quoted me for other work that should be done on the car - the parts would costs 5,900, with around 5,000 in labor costs. When I priced the spares the amount was only 1,100 (e.g. Rear Main seal -their cost 828,50 Cost at Korean Spares Booysens was 49.00 / Power Steering belt their 563,50 Korean Spares was 121,00)

Also scary was that my engine light was still on when i tried to drive my car so i stopped and reported it to the garage. The mechanic came to the car and tried resetting it from the instrument panel change switch (where you reset you milage etc). After several attempts I asked him to bring the laptop with the computer so he can check what was keeping the light on. He eventually just reset the alarms and said everything was fine.

Stay away from this garage as they are *********** people who are not fami**** with motor matters
