Car care clinic valley view
Took my car for a service at car care clinic valley view in Septemeber 2022 I asked them to check the front brakes They advised me that the brake pads are finished and i need new ones My car had 94000 km on the clock My car now has 116000 km on the clock and my brake pads are finished Took the car to car care clinic and asked how is this possible that there brake pads only lasted 15000 km ?
They said sorry there is nothing that they can do and i need to install new brake pads
I then contacted kia and asked them when was the last time i installed brake pads on my car( since before my car was under warranty and only kia roodepoort serviced my car and has the car service history)and they advised me that i had never done brakes with them and they are shocked that my current brake pads are finished
I feel that car care clinic used poor quality brake pads on my car
I also feel that for R1200 for brake pads that they should have lasted longer
I am going to take my car back to kia for services etc as i feel done in my care care clinic They do not do what they say when they give you their flyers at big robots
Care care clinic valley view will not see me again and i would like to warn other cutomers to be careful when considering a place to fix, service your vehicle

Unfortunately Car Care Clinic can't be held liable for the brake pad wear on your vehicle the pads that we used on your vehicle was Deselra we use this on 99% of our Customers vehicles and never had this problem
You are more than welcome to supply us with your own brake pads and we will fit them for you at no charge

I find it very unlikely that customers where happy with the longevity of your proposed Deselra breaks. I merely think that they avoided going back to the Car Care Clinc to have other breaks installed. I also find it very concerning that my KIA breaks lasted more than 90 000km and your Deselra breaks lasted less than 25 000km. It is quite amusing to imagine a 31-year-old woman driving a KIA Rio, which is a light weighted vehicle, to wear and tear her breaks in 21 153km. If your breaks were up to standard, then we would not have just spent another R2 424.30 on replacing your Deselra breaks. Everybody can refer to the below invoices confirming my accusations. Please refer to the KM on the invoices confirming that the breaks did not last (your guarantee therefore makes sense). I will in future pay slightly more at a trusted source since in the long run it will be more affordable.

There on the invoice it states all work guaranteed for 6 months or 10 000 km so your vehicle came in on the 01/09/2022 so if my calculation's is correct 6 months from that date will be 01/02/2023 so please correct me if I'm wrong but you are out of your guarantee period
