Car Care Clinic — extremely disappointing experience

I am sharing this because I genuinely do not want other people to make the same mistake I did.

Last year, I took my car to Car Care Clinic for repairs and paid approximately R28,000 for the work that was supposedly done. Unfortunately, I have now discovered that the issues I originally took the car in for were not properly repaired.

Today, I took my car to Jeep, and after inspecting it, I was quoted approximately R50,000 to repair the damages and issues that are still present.

The oil leaks are still there. The engine warning lights are still coming on. The cam sensor issue has still not been resolved, despite me having purchased new cam sensors. In other words, the problems I paid Car Care Clinic to fix were not actually fixed.

What makes this even more frustrating is that I am now in a worse financial position: I paid R28,000 last year, and a year later I am faced with another R50,000 repair bill because the underlying issues remain unresolved.

I feel completely let down by the service I received. In my experience, I paid a substantial amount for repairs that did not resolve the problems, and I am now having to pay again to have the work properly diagnosed and repaired.

My advice to anyone considering Car Care Clinic: please do your research and get a second opinion before allowing them to work on your vehicle. My experience has been extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend them based on what has happened with my car.

I am hoping that sharing my experience will prevent someone else from going through the same situation.
