Bad Service

On December 1, 2025, i towed my card to car care clinic in wilrogate as my car could not start. when i got there i was assisted by a guy. i told him that my car doesn't want to start, he then said let's go to the car to have a look. he mentioned that he will have to check by doing a full diagnosis of the car which will cost R650, i said to him my car is due for service since i serviced my car in February at the same branch. i then mention to him that the right shock is broken, i dont think i will be able to fix it now. he can quote me but i don't think i will be able to pay for the shocks. he said he will call me to discuss the quotation. i dropped the car at 7:45am he called at around 3pm and told me that he has bad news for me, i listened, he then said my engine is dead, i told him that it can't be true as i check water and oil and it everything was fine. he then told me that he can fix the engine or get a new one, but the price will almost be the same, i said to him let me come have a look first. when i got there he said, i managed to start your car but there's a lot of smoke coming out from the exhaust. when he mentioned that i immediately told him that there is nothing wrong with the engine someone closed the engine breather from the tappet cover gasket. if you do that the car will smoke and you have to drive it for the smoke to go away. all of them looked at each other and didn't say a word, which means someone did close it when they started the car. i told him just service the car its ok, he then took me to his desk and told me he will call me to discuss the quotation, that was 17:15, he called me back in 5 minutes i was still around the center, i went back and told me that the quotation for the car including service, engine flush and other staff i dont remember and including shocks it will cost me 21k. i said as i mentioned i will not be able to fix the shocks now as this happened when i dont have money, just service the car and install new brakes, i will park the car until i get money to fix the shocks. he was not happy with me that i dont want to fix everything and told me he will charge me R6800 for service and brakes. my service and brakes normally cost me around 4k. but i told him that he can go ahead. the following day i called at 3:30pm checking how far are they with the car, the lady who answered the phone told me they are almost done i can make my way. when i got there, he was still not happy that i dont want to fix the shocks. i paid and they told me they will push my car outside because of the smoke, i told them that they should have took the car outside, start the car for a few minutes the smoke will go away, he told he will not do that. fine i took car, drove it for 5 killometers to park it. because i cant drive the car because of the shocks. while i was driving i realised that they didnt even change the indicator lights, which means they didnt check them, i was so angry, because they didnt do proper job that i requested, to service the car and leave the shocks. today i took the car to bosch, they told me that the shocks are fine its just the right top mountain that is broken, they told me it will cost me 1K, my car is as good as new now. i can drive the car without issues. i'm angry with Car care clinic because the guy wanted me to pay 21K and i told him i cant afford it now, not that i dont want to fix it but i dont have it now. he made me feel bad, didnt even come with solutions for my situation. ive been servicing my car for 7 years at Car care clinic and i have never complained. i dont even think a full diagnosis was done on my car because he could pick up a lot of things. his job is to take money and don't want to come with solutions. i will never ever take my car there and i will spread the word for the bad service i received at Car care clinic wilrogate. there is no customer service at all there. waiting the whole day for the quotation and i had to call the following day to check how far are they with my car. very bad service
