AVOID CAR CARE CLINIC GRAIGHALL BY ALL MEANS

I highly recommend not to consider using them. Especially Car Care Clinic Craighall I took my car there to replace lash pads and hydraulic lifters, which they then called me and told me that the rocker arms as well as the camshaft also needs to be replaced. For replacing the camshaft that have to remove the timing belt to do. I gave them the go ahead to do the repairs. After about a week's driving I noticed there's a sound coming from the engine which they said they can't hear and I indicated to them that the timing belt is loose, as I also build and work on cars They told me the timing belt is not loose it's normal to be that way. Fast forward 4/5 months ahead, on my way home one evening the timing belt jumped two teeth if not more. When I phone them to notify them that the vehicle is standing and it is still under warranty, after warning them about the loose timing belt, they told me that they did not remove the timing belt to do the camshaft which is impossible and said that I need to have the vehicle towed in so they can quote me on repairing the vehicle. They have no accountability nor do they stand with their word of their warranty and would do things half effort. And when you bring up a concern they just tell you that it is normal. Honestly if I could give a 0 star rating I would.

Fast forward a couple days later. Car care clinic reply to my post.

They stated that when I booked in my car they told me there is numerous problems on the vehicle which is not true. I had my car with them 2 weeks before hand asking them about a knocking sound in the engine bay which they said is hydraulic lifters.

The hydraulic lifters were replaced and they recommended last pads and are later on phone me to tell me the last pads are fine it's the camshaft that needs to be replaced. They now saying that they told me there's numerous problems which they only told me about the camshaft problem hydraulic left is and possible lash pads and they did also mention a knock sensor was missing which I told him not to replace the knock sensor as I was tight on a budget and in the process of buying a new nock sensor.

If you are a mechanic or no anything about cars or engines you would most definitely know that you have to remove the timing belting order to replace a camshaft.

You can phone any mechanic or person you know that knows cars and ask them about the timing belt and camshaft and they were definitely reply that you have to remove the timing belt to replace the camshaft.

As I am busy currently with rmi going through with a case against car care clinic Craighall they have advised me to get this in writing from a dealership which I have phone to dealership and spoke to the manager of the service department and to explain the the situation to him.

He then rep**** and told me he would love to meet the person who can replace a camshaft without removing the timing belt as that is impossible and that person could then also overhaul a whole engine just through their exhaust.

Honestly if I could give them a zero I would definitely as it's the worst service I have ever had at any service center
