Wrong payments and reversals

On the 12/11/2020 money was credited to my account by mistake.obviously it was done in error and the payment received was meant for someone else. However it was mysteriously reversed from my account as well a few hours later with no prior authorization.My question Is it legal for a bank to reverse money without the account holders permission and how am I to trust the relations of this bank If things like this happen because according to my knowledge even if the payment was in error the accountholder is supposed to give his/her authorization to the bank to reverse the payment??Now my bank statement will also reflect a payment and reversal as well. All I received was an automated sms with an apology for any inconvenience. I don't like things like this happening. It's ***** and also makes me sceptical about how safe my money really is.
